How to enable battery percentage in iOS 16

iOS 16 users can now enable the ability to display battery percentage information and see exactly how much battery is left on their iPhone.

to enable battery percentage in iOS 16, users go to the Settings app and tap on Battery. If you have an eligible iPhone device, you’ll see a toggle in the Low Power Mode section called Battery Percentage. Just turn it on, and users will see the battery percentage displayed on the battery icon in the top right corner of the iPhone.

The standard color effects of the battery icon are maintained even when the battery percentage is turned on. If Low Power Mode is on, the icon will turn yellow, and if the battery drops below 20%, the icon will turn red.

The battery percentage icon is not available on all iPhones running iOS version 16. On its support website, Apple states that the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone 13 mini will not display it without giving any explanation as to why this is the case. So if you have one of these iPhones, you won’t see a toggle in the battery’s settings.

Besides, the old-fashioned battery percentage feature is also available on iPhone models running iOS 16 such as iPhone 8, iPhone SE 2020, and iPhone SE 2022.
