How to Install AltStore, the App Store alternative, on iPhone and iPad

Get altserver installed

to install the AltServer program, which will be used to install the AltStore alternative apps store. To do this, go to the page altstore.io from your browser and choose the macOS button or windows button depending on your OS.

Prepare your iPhone

Copy AltServer to the macOS Applications folder, then double-click Altserver.app. To bypass the restrictions introduced by Apple and access the AltStore portal, make sure the mobile is connected to the same WiFi network as your Mac and that both devices are associated with the same Apple ID account.

How to install AltStore with a Mac

  • Download AltStore Server for Mac from the official site.
  • Click on the AltServer icon in the macOS menu bar and activate the Install AltStore command
  • Install AltStore Server on your machine.
  • Connect your iOS device (and tap Trust if necessary).
  • Click AltStore in your Mac’s menu bar, then select Install Mail Plugin.
  • Enter your Apple ID email address and password.
  • Install the Mail plug-in when prompted.
  • Open Mail, then open the Mail Preferences menu, Click Manage Plugins, Activate AltPlugin.mailbundle, then click Apply and Restart Mail.
  • Click AltStore in your Mac’s menu bar, select Install AltStore, then choose your iOS device.

How to install AltStore with a Windows PC

  • Download and install iTunes directly from Apple (not Microsoft) Download and install iCloud directly from Apple (not Microsoft).
  • Download AltStore Server for Windows from the official site.
  • Install AltStore Server on your machine.
  • Connect your iOS device (and tap Trust if necessary).
  • Open iTunes and turn on iTunes Wi-Fi Sync from its settings menu.
  • Click AltStore in the Windows toolbar, select Install AltStore, then choose your iOS device.
  • Enter your Apple ID email address and password.
