How to Install Custom Fonts on iOS 13 and iPadOS 13

iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 now support special fonts. Although you can install special fonts such as on new operating systems, keep in mind that this newly installed font only works in certain applications. Setting up character sets throughout the system makes more sense because this means consistency and uniformity between applications. However, this is good news for people who work in the creative field. I will show you how to use special fonts anywhere and in any application.

Artists, writers, and other creators can now use different fonts when working on their craft. Fonts can lift your spirits, help you convey your personality, or just bring positive change. Apple has partnered with Adobe, which means it will definitely work with Photoshop (coming soon) and other applications in the future

Install Custom Fonts in iOS 13 and iPadOS 13

1. Install Custom Fonts on iOS 13 and iPadOS 13

Although Apple is generous enough to offer various types of fonts to choose from, there is still much to be found. If like me, you want to install special fonts on iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 that are not available by default, you can download them from the App Store. Open the App Store and search for “Fonts” to find a number of font applications. Examples of such applications are Font Diner. Install and launch the application and click Activate to install all fonts that come with the free version. At the time of this writing, there are 23. You can unlock more by buying the premium version.

  • After installing the application, you can find all the fonts included with the application under Settings> General> Fonts.
  • You can check font typography before activating it for use in supported applications by clicking on the font.
  • Choose what you want and now you can use it in supported applications such as Mail, Word, etc. Note that the default fonts that were pre-installed with iOS 13 are not displayed here. This setting is only available for third-party fonts that you install separately.

2. Using Custom Fonts Anywhere on iOS and iPadOS 13

To use special fonts anywhere in the system, you must download and install keyboard fonts in each application, not only those currently supported. If you switch to this keyboard, you can use the font selected in any application instead of the application currently supported by Apple, which is only available for a very limited level.

Although there are many keyboard applications for fonts, I would recommend Cool Fonts. Why? Not only does it offer unique and powerful fonts, but you can also choose themes to customize the look of your keyboard. Before you can use the keyboard application, you must activate it in settings.

  • Open “Settings” and select “Keyboard” under “Cool Fonts”.
  • Now activate the option to activate.
  • To activate the Cool Font keyboard when you type, you must activate it under “Settings”> “Keyboard”> “Keyboard”> “Add a new keyboard”. Scroll down to find the Cool Fonts listed under the Third-Party Keyboard.
  • When finished, you can use this font when writing your next work. Return to the Mail application or other application and tap anywhere to open the standard keyboard. You now know how to replace the keyboard (we discussed above). Check whether you can switch to the keyboard for cool fonts.
  • Tap the F icon to select the font you want to enter. There are so many fonts to choose from, and if you need more, switch to the Professional version to open even more.
  • Depending on the keyboard font application that you have installed, the standard process remains more or less the same. You turn on the keyboard and then activate it, and then switch from keyboard settings to it. The process of installing or activating a new special keyboard for fonts remains unchanged on iOS 13 and iPadOS 13.
