Huawei has recently launched its latest Pura 70 series, featuring the Pura 70 Ultra model that boasts a high-end camera system and several other unique features that set it apart from the rest. One of the most notable differences is the phone’s distinctive design language, which includes a triangular camera module on the back. The Pura 70 Ultra measures 162.6 x 75.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs around 226 grams. Additionally, it comes in four different color options, namely Chanson Green, Mocha Brown, Starburst White, and Starburst Black.
The Pura 70 Ultra is equipped with a 6.8-inch OLED screen that has a resolution of 2,844 x 1,260 pixels and a pixel density of 460 ppi. The display offers LTPO 1-120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and 300 Hz touch sampling rate and supports the P3 wide color game with 1.07 billion colors. Furthermore, the screen is protected by second-generation Kunlun tempered glass.
Under the hood, the Pura 70 Ultra is powered by a Kirin 9010 chip, which is a successor to the Kirin 9000S used in the Mate 60 series. It also comes with a 5,200 mAh battery that supports 100W super-fast charging, 80W super-speed wireless charging, and 20W reverse wireless charging.
The most impressive aspect of the Pura 70 Ultra, however, is its camera system. It boasts a 50 MP 1-inch main sensor, a 40 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50 MP tele macro sensor. Moreover, the main camera can be retracted and pulled out seamlessly, with durability that can withstand at least 300,000 cycles. The main camera’s flexible aperture (f/1.6 to f/4.0) and sensor-shift stabilization also ensure professional-level photography results. With this camera system, the Pura 70 Ultra can capture sharp images even at high speeds (up to 300 km/h).
The Pura 70 Ultra is also capable of 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom, and the company has implemented the AIS anti-shake feature using artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for stable photos. The front of the phone is equipped with a 13 MP camera.
Other notable features of the Pura 70 Ultra include the latest HarmonyOS operating system pre-installed upon release, bringing a series of advanced AI features such as AI gestures and AI photo editing. It also features satellite connectivity, a Lingxi wireless antenna network, 8 MU-MIMO spatial stream audio, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The phone comes in two configurations, namely 16/512 GB and 16 GB/1 TB, with prices of 1,380 USD and 1,520 USD, respectively.
