Humane has officially introduced AI Pin – a device that aims to use AI, cameras, speakers, and lasers to draw people’s eyes away from their smartphone screens and focus on the world around them.

According to BGR, introduced in a short 10-minute video, Humane’s AI Battery is one of the most hyped tech products of the past decade, and it’s finally here to usher us into the new era.

Humane describes AI Pin as an “independent device and software platform built from the ground up with AI,” meaning users won’t need to pair it with their smartphone to use it. With AI Pin, users can call, text, take photos or videos, listen to music, get directions, learn about food nutrition… They can also interact with the device by voice or touch and Play audio through the built-in speakers, as well as through a pair of Bluetooth-connected headphones. It comes with a built-in battery and incorporates a “battery booster” for extra battery life, which also doubles as a magnet to attach it to clothing.

According to Humane, there is no app for the AI ​​Battery, instead, the device is completely powered by AI. The assistant will do everything from finding messages to chatting in another language. When combined with a camera, AI can also recognize objects such as food to inform users about their nutrition. It can also identify items in the real world and even buy them online for users.

Humane has partnered with Microsoft, T-Mobile, Google, OpenAI, Slack, and Tidal to bring these hands-free experiences to life. Users will also have access to the Humane Center, where all the content they collect and query using the device can be accessed.

AI Battery will cost $699 and comes with a battery, power bank, charging case, charging dock, and charging cable. The company announced a range of accessories, including a clip to attach it to thicker things like jackets or bags, as well as a protective case if users want to give their Battery a more vibrant color. , while also protecting the edges of the device. In addition, users also have to pay 24 USD/month for the service subscription package. This plan works with T-Mobile, giving users unlimited voice, text, data, and queries with AI. People can start ordering Ai Pin in the US on November 16.
