Intel extends Core Ultra 200 CPU launch time

The launch date for the Core Ultra 200 CPU series has been rescheduled from October 17 to October 24, remaining within the planned month of October. The processor line, Core Ultra 200 codenamed Arrow Lake-S, was initially set for release on October 17 alongside the Z890 motherboards. However, recent information from the HKPEC news site indicates a one-week delay in the schedule. The official launch for this product line, alongside the Z890 motherboard and products in Intel’s 800 series, is now scheduled for October 24.

The Core Ultra 200 Arrow Lake-S CPU line will feature six K-series processors, including the Core Ultra 9 285K(F), Core Ultra 7 265K(F), and Core Ultra 5 245K(F). These chip models will be simultaneously available in numerous regions such as North America and Europe. Accompanying these high-end configurations and catering to technology enthusiasts, the Z890 motherboard series will also be released simultaneously.

Looking ahead, Intel’s launch roadmap for the Core Ultra 200 CPU also includes plans to release the B860 and H810 motherboard lines around CES 2025 for users interested in these models. These will feature non-K CPUs with 65W and 35W capacity. While official technical specifications and structure details for the Arrow Lake-S series and the 800-series platform are not yet available, expect more information to be disclosed closer to the launch date.

Intel’s decision to postpone the Core Ultra 200 CPU launch by a week may extend the wait for users eager to experience the enhancements in this new Core Ultra 200 CPU line. Nonetheless, expectations for exceptional performance remain high, particularly following the V-Ray testing of the Core Ultra 7 265KF, which exhibited a 6% performance increase compared to the Core i7-14700K.
