iOS 13.5.1 released, fix jailbreak vulnerability

According to TechCrunch, Apple acknowledged that they fixed a zero-day bug that helped the Un0ver team provide unlocking tools last week, including iOS 13.5. Although details of this vulnerability are not publicly available, Apple often finds problems quickly and fixes problems to prevent hackers from exploiting them.

Un0ver officials also acknowledged on their Twitter page that the iOS 13.5.1 update will close the vulnerabilities they use and make jailbreaking devices unusable. As is known, jailbreaking is a popular method for users to remove Apple’s restrictions that prevent them from getting in-depth access to the iPhone operating system.

Apple has done this to improve device security and reduce the ability for hackers to attack with software. However, jailbreak software developers say that bypassing the restrictions will allow them to customize the iPhone more in the same way that Android users are already familiar.

Security experts often advise users not to jailbreak their devices, as this can expose the device owner to more attacks, and advise users to install their devices’ software as soon as an update is available.

Apple says iOS 13.5.1 also comes with the new Memoji label and other bug fixes and improvements.

To install iOS 13.5.1 on iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, go to Settings> General> Software Update, then click Download and Install at the bottom of the page. Users can also install updates via iTunes by connecting their iOS device to the computer. This update has a capacity of about 77 MB.
