iOS 18 will let users lock apps with Face ID

According to reports from AppleInsider, iOS 18 is anticipated to bring significant enhancements in security and user interface. The upcoming operating system may introduce an improved dark mode with the ability to automatically switch to a dark interface for default applications and provide developers with APIs to integrate the feature into their apps.

One of the notable additions is a new security feature that allows users to secure individual applications with Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode, aiming to enhance the protection of personal data.

iOS 18 is also expected to substantially change the Siri, Notes app, Safari, Mail, and Photos. Siri’s integration with more powerful AI capabilities is anticipated, enabling it to handle complex tasks. The Notes app is speculated to receive additional recording and transcription features, while the Photos app may see the integration of new AI-based photo editing tools.

Apple is rumored to unveil iOS 18 at the 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) scheduled for June 10, which is eagerly anticipated by technology enthusiasts for the latest iOS features and other product and service announcements.
