iPhone 12 mini launched, priced at $ 699

At the event “Hi, Speed” took place on the morning of October 14, Apple for the first time used the nickname “mini” in the iPhone line with the appearance of the iPhone 12 mini.

According to TheVerge, the iPhone 12 mini has a 5.4-inch screen but has an overall size smaller than the iPhone SE 2020 with the 4.7-inch screen the company launched earlier this year. The $ 699 mini iPhone 12 features a notch with Face ID and is declared by Apple as the smallest, thinnest, and lightest 5G phone in the world.

Like the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 mini uses a 5nm A14 Bionic chip with better performance and energy efficiency than the A13 Bionic. The A14 Bionic includes a six-core CPU (two high-core and four low-core) and is claimed by Apple to be 50 percent faster than the A13 Bionic chip. It also includes a four-core GPU that promises to provide “controller” quality gaming.

The iPhone 12 mini also shares many of the key iPhone 12 specs, including the 12MP f / 1.6 (main) and 12MP ultra-wide dual camera system. Apple has improved low-light photography performance on the iPhone 12 mini, and the front-facing camera will also include its own Night Mode.

The display glass on the iPhone 12 mini is also coated with a layer that the company describes as “Ceramic Shield” for better durability. Water and dust resistance improved to IP68 rating.

The starting price for the iPhone 12 mini is $ 699, available in 5 color options.
