Based on the latest CAD (computer-aided design) render shared by leak expert Ice Universe on Twitter, iPhone 15 Pro Max (or iPhone 15 Ultra) could come with thinner camera bezels compared to the previous generation.
According to Neowin , the tweet shows that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have thinner bezels, but a thicker titanium alloy middle frame. It measures 159.86 x 76.73 x 8.25 mm and the total thickness including the camera protrusion is 11.84 mm. For comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro Max measures 160.7 x 77.6 x 7.85 mm with a total thickness of 12.03 mm.
As such, the overall size of the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be smaller than the iPhone 14 Pro Max thanks to some cuts in height and width. In particular, although the main body of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is thicker, the protrusion of the camera is thinner, making the total thickness smaller than that of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. This is good news for users in the context that the protruding camera part of the iPhone has always made users feel uncomfortable for many years because it causes the device to wobble when placed on a flat surface.
Another interesting point is the series of render images of the iPhone 15 Pro Max that have removed the volume and power buttons. This is in line with previous rumors that the 2023 flagship iPhone is expected to have solid-state buttons, similar to what happens with the Home button on the iPhone 7 or 8. This type of button does not. physics engine that just gives the feeling of being pressed using haptic feedback on iPhone. Besides, the image also shows that the phone comes with a USB-C port instead of the old Lightning.
