LG appoints new CEO

In a blog post, LG revealed it has appointed William Cho as the company’s new chief executive officer (CEO), starting December 1.

According to Neowin , along with the appointment of a new CEO, LG also appointed Kim Byoung-hoon as chief officer technology .

The Korean company said the new leadership team plans to focus specifically on customer satisfaction by addressing pain points consumer and incorporating customer feedback. They will do this by reorganizing the Customer Satisfaction Management Center into the Customer Value Innovation Office, overseen by the chief strategy officer.

In addition, the Consumer Experience Innovation Division of the Home Appliance and Home Companies Entertainment will be upgraded to the Customer Experience Innovation Division to help improve customer satisfaction.

To prepare LG for the future, some divisions such as the Mergers & Acquisitions division and Life Soft Research will be promoted to give them access to more resources. In addition, the AI ​​Big Data division will be upgraded and will be overseen by a chief data officer (CDO) holder.

All appointments and redistributions of LG businesses will come into effect on December 1.
