Meta brings Facebook Reels feature to more than 150 countries

Meta just announced that it is bringing Facebook Reels for iOS and Android to more than 150 countries to help creators drive better interactive content.

According to Neowin, the company says users spend about half of their time watching videos on Facebook as well as Instagram, and Reels is the fastest-growing content format to date.

Besides things like the Reels Play bonus program, where creators can earn up to $35,000/month based on views and qualifying reels, Meta also wants to expand the monetization options available to creator.

The company is working on integrating ad revenue sharing and fan support in the coming weeks, and expanding Overlay ads tests to creators in the United States. North America and beyond. Overlay ads will be available in two formats, as a semi-transparent overlay at the end of the reel and as a static sticker ad that can be placed anywhere by the creator.

In some countries, Facebook will show users recommended reels in the Feed even if the user doesn’t follow the creator.

When viewing Reels, users can like, comment or share content with friends, and they can also use Facebook Stars to reward creators.
