Microsoft reveals new battery saving mode of Windows 11 24H2

The upcoming Windows 11 24H2 update is set to introduce an energy-saving feature known as Energy Saver, which aims to further extend the battery life of laptops. According to TechRadar, this enhanced feature is an upgrade from the current Battery Saver and can be utilized even when the device is plugged in. Energy Saver not only operates when the battery is low but it can also be activated while the laptop is charging, effectively conserving power. Additionally, this feature can disable window transparency effects and restrict background app synchronization, such as OneNote, OneDrive, and Phone Link, to optimize battery usage. However, once Energy Saver is enabled, users will be unable to manually adjust the power mode to prioritize either performance or battery life.

Individuals experiencing battery life issues with their laptops will likely anticipate the arrival of the Windows 11 24H2 update with the new Energy Saver feature. However, the official release date for this update has not been confirmed and maybe later than previously speculated.
