Modern Warfare III, Call of Duty’s newest game, won’t abandon older generation consoles like Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

According to IGN, after Modern Warfare III was confirmed as this year’s Call of Duty title, there were many fans worried about whether the game would support older devices like PS4 and Xbox One.

The confusion of the Call of Duty fan community stems from the fact that a fairly popular content creator on Twitter ‘TheGamingRevolution’ has announced that the official Xbox page only lists that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be available on Xbox Series X and S, and information about Xbox One is absent.

account The person went on to point out a YouTube video from the official PlayStation that seems to confirm that the game will be available on both PS4 and PS5, making things confusing and unclear what’s going on. And a big question has been raised whether the game will only be available on PS4 and abandon Xbox One.

But things were cleared up when the official Xbox website later updated information about the game coming to both Xbox Series X/S as well as Xbox One. IGN has also independently confirmed that both Xbox and PlayStation support listings are error-free.

As can be seen, owners of older gaming devices will still be able to experience Activision’s new games.
