In September, Samsung announced the first 200 MP smartphone sensor, and the first phone to feature this sensor does not appear to be from Xiaomi but from Motorola.

According to PhoneArena , a report published by leak expert Ice Universe says that Xiaomi will release a smartphone with a 200 MP camera around the second half of 2022 instead of the beginning of the year. Previously, many sources said that the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be the first product to come with a 200 MP camera, but a new report says that these Xiaomi models will use a 50 MP main camera

If Xiaomi plans to release a a smartphone 200MP with camera in the second half of 2022, Motorola could become the first to release a 200MP camera smartphone. It’s not the Moto Edge X – one of the flagship devices with a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip and triple cameras with a 50 MP main sensor on the back.

With the Moto Edge X set to be released globally in early 2022, it’s likely that the 200MP camera device will be announced sometime in the second quarter of 2022.

As for Samsung, although the company’s next premium foldable phone is rumored to come with a better camera than the current generation, it’s unlikely to come with a 200MP sensor. Instead, the Galaxy S23 looks set to become the company’s first phone Korean with a 200MP sensor.

Earlier, Samsung introduced a smartphone camera sensor ISOCELL 200 MP called HP1 provides 0.64 micron pixel size and technology combined pixels to create new ChameleonCell 50 MP image size pixel 1 .28 μm or 12.5 MP image with 2.56 μm pixel size which is useful during low-light photography. The sensor can also record 8K video at 30fps with minimal loss in the field of view. The company promises the new sensor can help capture details that are missed by the naked eye.
