Despite the transition to marginally slower GDDR6 memory, the upcoming RTX 4070 will retain the same number of CUDA cores, signifying resilient performance for gaming and graphics-intensive activities. Nonetheless, users may notice a slight dip in performance when gaming at higher resolutions such as 4K.
By adopting the more readily available GDDR6 memory, Nvidia anticipates securing a steady supply of the RTX 4070, thereby meeting the needs of both gamers and professionals. Although an official release date has not been disclosed, it is expected that the GDDR6 version will be priced more competitively than the current model, offering a more cost-effective option for users.
