One UI 6.1.1 upgrades the photography capabilities of the Galaxy S24 Ultra

At the second Unpacked event in 2024, Samsung is expected to unveil the latest One UI 6.1.1 update, which will be pre-installed on the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Fold6 folding screen smartphone models. This update is anticipated to offer improvements for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, particularly in outdoor photography. The smartphone’s camera performance has been a focus, with previous reports highlighting issues related to overexposure when capturing bright objects like flowers under sunlight.

According to a recent report from leak expert Ice Universe, the One UI 6.1.1 update aims to enhance the outdoor photography performance of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, addressing challenges encountered in automatic mode, where the camera tends to brighten objects overly. This results in inaccurate exposures, requiring manual adjustments to correct the brightness level. With the upcoming update, users can expect better outdoor photography capabilities, especially in extremely bright conditions.

In addition to camera enhancements, the update is also expected to introduce new Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy S24 series and older models. It’s worth noting that EU restrictions will prevent Apple from rolling out certain features, including AI features, to European users in iOS 18 due to the implementation of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) in 2022.
