OpenAI releases large enterprise version of ChatGPT

OpenAI leadership says they are releasing a version of ChatGPT for large enterprises.

According to OpenAI, the ChatGPT Enterprise edition offers greater security, privacy, and high-speed access to OpenAI’s technology than the other editions. Early clients include Block, Carlyle, and Estee Lauder Companies

When OpenAI released ChatGPT for users last November, it created a wave of use of artificial intelligence (AI) in everyday tasks from writing to coding and reached 100 million active users. monthly in January.

A Reuters poll found that many people in the US already use ChatGPT at work, although business owners discourage it, according to Reuters.

With the launch of ChatGPT Enterprise, OpenAI hopes companies will feel comfortable using ChatGPT in the workplace.

Microsoft has provided businesses with access to ChatGPT through Azure OpenAI Services. To use this service, businesses must be customers of Azure, a cloud computing platform.

Even so, OpenAI says ChatGPT Enterprise subscribers don’t need to sign up for Azure. OpenAI and Microsoft have previously introduced overlapping services, and it’s not clear how the two companies are competing for customers.

When asked if ChatGPT Enterprise competes with Microsoft in terms of customers, an OpenAI spokesperson said that “customers can choose which platform is right for their business”.

Like the consumer versions of OpenAI’s AI-powered chatbots, users can enter questions and receive written responses from ChatGPT Enterprise. This new tool includes unlimited use of OpenAI’s most powerful AI model, GPT-4. It also provides the ability to type longer questions. OpenAI has worked with more than 20 companies, from small startups to larger enterprises, with extensive AI experience to test ChatGPT Enterprise, according to Bloomberg.

Earlier, OpenAI announced the release of ChatGPT for Android. Currently, users can download this application from the Play Store.
