Oppo finds its way back to Europe

After completing the 5G license agreement with Nokia in January, Oppo immediately planned to promote development in Europe. During the MWC 2024 event (Spain), Bingo Liu – Oppo’s managing director in Europe announced that the company will launch new products in this market this year.

According to data from Counterpoint, in Europe, Oppo will face compatriots such as Xiaomi, Honor, and the two leading smartphone brands Apple and Samsung, which account for 30% and 29% of smartphone shipments in the quarter, respectively. April 2023. Xiaomi ranked third with an 18% market share, followed by Realme and Honor with 3% and 2% respectively.

Oppo’s return to Europe is good news for consumers who want access to more innovative smartphones. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is focusing on investing in artificial intelligence (AI) to improve products and user experience.

At MWC 2024, Oppo introduced the prototype of Air Glass 3, an augmented reality (AR) glasses model capable of accessing the AndesGPT large language model that the company developed itself.
