PC configuration to play Mortal Kombat 1 has been revealed

Players will need up to 100GB of storage space to install the PC version of Mortal Kombat 1.

According to Neowin, the reboot of the Mortal Kombat 1 fighting game series was revealed last week, however, the movie doesn’t offer too many details for fans. Now, the list of the PC version of the game on Steam has provided some more information about the hardware specifications that players need to meet to be able to experience it.

Accordingly, information on Steam shows that the PC version of Mortal Kombat 1 requires up to 100GB of storage space. This shows the trend of today’s high-end PC games to have storage space levels of 100GB or more. For example, the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor recently released requires 155GB, Redfall has 100GB, and Forspoken requires 150GB

In addition to the huge requirement for storage space, fans can refer to the hardware specifications needed to play Mortal Kombat 1 as follows:

Minimum configuration:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.
  • Operating System: Windows 10/11 64-bit.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMDRyzen5 3600X.
  • RAM memory: 8GB.
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT / Intel Arc A770.
  • DirectX: Version 12.
  • Storage capacity: 100 GB

Suggested configuration:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.
  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600 / AMD Ryzen 3 3100 or Ryzen 5 2600.
  • RAM memory: 8GB.
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 / AMD Radeon RX 470 / Intel Arc A750.
  • DirectX: Version 12.
  • Storage capacity: 100 GB

However, there is no word yet on how these hardware systems will deliver frame rates or resolutions. Mortal Kombat 1 for PC is currently scheduled for release on September 19th.
