PlayStation 5 is about to support SSDs up to 8TB

If there is a need to store a lot of big games, the PlayStation 5 is ready for it.

According to BGR, in a new blog post, Sony has announced the latest beta software version for PlayStation 5 (PS5). While these features are still in beta and not yet available to all users, they are worth noting

One of the most important features is the upcoming PS5’s storage capacity. Accordingly, the game console will allow users to install an SSD drive of up to 8TB to expand the internal memory. Until now, users could only install an SSD with a capacity of 4TB.

Another big feature coming to the PS5 is support for Dolby Atmos audio. With the update, compatible games will be able to output this modern audio format to a TV or speaker system that supports it. Bring a more immersive 3D Audio experience too.

The company is also implementing the ability to coordinate in control manipulation, allowing players to combine two controllers into one so that they can go with friends to overcome the most difficult levels in the game.

Finally, players can also turn off the PS5’s alarm sound when the device is turned on or off, as well as get a bunch of other improvements included
