PS5: the weight of the games is revealed, up to 105 GB for Spider-Man: Miles Morales

We presently know how large the remake of Evil spirit’s Soul and Spider-Man: Miles Morales will take on the PS5 SSD. Data that could bear some significance with future purchasers of the 100% digital console.

The US version of the PS5 site already pre-orders a handful of games, including Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon’s Soul, Destruction AllStars, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Regardless of whether these are physical games, the product sheets disclose to us how much weight they will take on the PS5’s SSD.

Up to 15% of PS5 disk space for Spider-Man Ultimate Edition: Miles Morales

The games coming to the ninth generation consoles will be breathtaking. With the arrival of Final Fantasy XVI, God of War Ragnarök, or Hogwarts Legacy, PS5 players are about to be filled. Especially since the PS5 will offer some nice technical features. Some games will even benefit from real-time ray tracing support, like Spider-Man: Miles Morales. But if the developers are about to offer us more and more ambitious games, we must not forget that they will take up space on the disc of the console

Indeed, we now know the size that some games exclusive to the PS5 will take, even if you buy them in physical version. In this case, the Demon’s Souls remake will require a minimum of 66 GB of disk space on PS5. As for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the weight varies depending on the “standard” or “ultimate” version. In the first case, at least 50 GB of disk space will be required. The ultimate version will require no less than 105 GB, which is almost 15% of the available disk space on the PS5.

As for Destruction AllStars, the motorized combat video game developed by the British studio Lucid Games, it will not require a specific download. The same goes for Sackboy: A Big Adventure, which, by the way, will not be a PS5 exclusive as it will also be released on PS4 on November 12.

However, rest assured: the PS5’s custom SSD will be “incredible” according to Cory Barlog, director of God of War. We can not wait to see the result.
