Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon X Plus chip to help elevate Windows 11 ARM PCs

Qualcomm has recently launched Snapdragon X Plus, a processor chip designed for Windows PCs operating on the ARM platform. This new platform is expected to provide exceptional performance, high energy efficiency, and advanced AI capabilities on the device. By incorporating the Snapdragon X Plus, Qualcomm aims to revolutionize digital experiences by offering fast connectivity, powerful performance, and breakthrough AI on devices. Moreover, this chip will enable extended battery life for ultrabook models, making them usable for several days.

Snapdragon X Plus boasts an integrated dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) for on-device AI processing, providing up to 45 TOP AI performance. The GPU, Qualcomm Adreno, is also impressive, delivering up to 3.8 TFLOPs and supporting three external displays in 4K 60 Hz HDR, two 4K 120 Hz displays, or one 5K 60 Hz display.

It is worth noting that Snapdragon X Plus is a lower-power version compared to the powerful Snapdragon X Elite chip line designed for Windows PCs that Qualcomm previously announced. The first devices to use the Snapdragon X Plus will be released soon.
