Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, the first installment in the first-person survival horror series, will be available on Apple devices. The game is set to launch on the App Store on July 2 and will be compatible with the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, as well as iPad and Mac devices equipped with M-series chips. Originally released on consoles in 2017, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard for iOS and macOS follows the previous rollout of Resident Evil Village on devices in October 2023.
The game will feature touchscreen controls and a new Auto Fire feature, which allows players to automatically fire weapons after aiming at an enemy for a set period. Additionally, players can experience the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and other handheld consoles supported by Apple.
Set after the events of Resident Evil 6, the game’s plot unfolds as strange occurrences reemerge in Dulvey, Louisiana. Players take on the role of Ethan Winters, who is determined to find his missing wife amidst the unsettling events. The Gold Edition upgrade will offer players an opportunity to delve deeper into Ethan Winters’ story.
Furthermore, Capcom is working on a remake of Resident Evil 2 for iOS and macOS, and fans can now pre-order Resident Evil 7: Biohazard in the App Store. Additionally, the remake of Resident Evil 4 is expected to launch on Apple devices in November of this year.
