Galaxy S24 users in Germany will be among the first to access the One UI 7 beta update, which is based on Android 15. Samsung plans to launch the beta version of One UI 7 starting December 5. Initially, reports indicated that this beta program would also be available for Galaxy S24 users in Korea and the United States.
The One UI 7 beta introduces a variety of exciting features. Recently, Samsung’s official website in Spain highlighted several enhancements included in this update. These features comprise a revamped lock screen, a media player widget, an activity widget, as well as a “Nowbar” live animation and new icons. Moreover, the update will incorporate Galaxy AI features, such as Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, Portrait Studio, Live Effects, Live Translate, and AI Zoom.
Technology journalist Max Jambor confirmed on X that the One UI 7 beta program will officially commence in Germany on December 5. This was further corroborated by another user, @theonecid, who shared a screenshot of a conversation with Samsung’s customer support confirming the launch date.
It is important to note that only three models from the Galaxy S24 series qualify for the One UI 7 beta program, meaning the Galaxy S24 FE will not be included. This aligns with Samsung’s usual practice of starting beta programs with the flagship models in the Galaxy S series.
Additionally, leak expert IceUniverse shared a video on the X platform demonstrating the new lock screen functionalities of the One UI 7 update. As of now, it remains uncertain whether Galaxy S24 users in the U.S. and Korea will receive the beta update simultaneously or if they will need to wait a few additional days.
To prepare for the update, users should ensure that they have the latest version of the Samsung Members app installed on their Galaxy S24 devices.
