The Galaxy A56 is set to become Samsung’s first smartphone in the A series to feature 45W fast charging capabilities. This development, reported by GSMArena, indicates Samsung’s strategy to bridge the gap between its mid-range Galaxy A series and the high-end Galaxy S series.
Recent certifications from China’s quality certification (CQC) database reveal that the Galaxy A56, identified by the model SM-A5660, can achieve a maximum charging output of 10V and 4.5A, translating to a robust 45W of power. This represents a notable improvement from the Galaxy A55, which only supports 25W fast charging. Intriguingly, this also surpasses the charging capacity of the standard Galaxy S24, which is capped at 25W, making the A56 a compelling option for users seeking faster charging solutions.
While Samsung has previously integrated 45W fast charging into various mid-range models within the Galaxy F and Galaxy M series, this marks the first implementation of such technology in the Galaxy A series.
In addition to its impressive charging capabilities, the Galaxy A56 is anticipated to include further enhancements, such as the powerful Exynos 1580 chip featuring an 8-core CPU, a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP front-facing camera, and the promise of future software updates. With these features, the Galaxy A56 is poised to attract attention in the mid-range smartphone market by offering premium experiences to users.
