Samsung brings Galaxy AI to millions of old Galaxy devices

Samsung’s latest Android interface, One UI 6.1, which comes with Galaxy AI integration, has been installed on almost 9 million Galaxy devices. The update was officially rolled out by Samsung to the Galaxy S22, S21, Z Flip4, Z Flip3, Z Fold4, and Z Fold3 series, and is currently limited to South Korea. However, the company is expected to make the update available globally in the coming weeks.

One of the key features of the One UI 6.1 update is that users of some older Galaxy devices, such as Galaxy S22, Z Fold4, and Z Flip4, will receive Galaxy AI features that were previously exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S21, Z Flip3, and Z Fold3 models will receive some of the Galaxy AI features. This is great news for Samsung, as it brings the company closer to its goal of providing Galaxy AI to more than 100 million devices by the end of this year.

While some devices, such as the Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy Z Flip3, have limited Galaxy AI features, the Galaxy Z Fold3 has more features, including AI-generated wallpapers, website summary, note summary, automatic templates in Samsung Notes, live language translation, and image editing suggestions powered by AI. Circle to Search is one of the best-promoted features in the Galaxy AI feature set and is available on the Galaxy S21 series.
