Samsung is reportedly planning to continue using the same 5,000 mAh battery and 45W fast charging technology in its upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is expected to be launched early next year. These specifications have been a part of the Ultra series since the launch of the Galaxy S21 Ultra in 2021. Earlier rumors suggested that Samsung would upgrade to a 65W charging speed with the Stacked battery technology, but it seems the company has decided to postpone this move to the Galaxy S26 Ultra in 2026 due to cost concerns.
Samsung has been introducing cost-saving measures for its flagship phones, and one such measure is the use of in-house Exynos chips in some regions. This helps the company reduce the cost of purchasing components, which has increased due to the strong USD. The same strategy will be applied to the Galaxy S25 series, but it is unclear whether the “dual chip” approach will be adopted for the entire product line or just a part.
There are still many unknowns about the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s design, and Samsung could make changes to various aspects of the phone. However, it seems that the company has decided to stick with the same battery and charging technology for now, which should still provide a good user experience.
