Samsung is about to launch One UI 7 inspired by Apple

Samsung has officially announced the community page for One UI 7, indicating that the upcoming software update may be launched soon.

According to Chun Bhai, a member of the X platform, Samsung could be integrating a notification summary feature—similar to one offered by Apple—into One UI 7. This feature is expected to be part of the Galaxy AI ecosystem and is currently referred to as “AI notification.” It has been spotted in the latest One UI 7 build, designated with the code “XJW,” although it is presently available only in Korean.

It is important to note that not all devices running One UI 7 will include this new functionality. If Samsung proceeds with the development of the notification summary feature, users can anticipate support for additional languages soon. However, this feature may be limited to high-end Samsung models and might not be available on mid-range devices in the Galaxy A series.

While this information has not been fully confirmed, leakster Ice Universe has verified the existence of the XJW build, stating it contains multiple changes compared to previous versions. Furthermore, it has been suggested that the beta version of One UI 7 may be delayed, potentially pushing the launch to mid-November.

If Samsung indeed adopts Apple’s notification summary feature, its implementation could be noteworthy. Apple’s similar feature aids users in managing time by organizing and summarizing numerous notifications, allowing them to focus on the most relevant information.

In addition, One UI 7 is expected to introduce separate drop-down menus for notifications and quick settings, with notifications positioned on the left and quick settings on the right. The addition of an AI-driven notification summary feature could serve as a key reason behind this interface redesign.
