Samsung launches lost and found device Galaxy SmartTag2

Samsung has just officially announced the Galaxy SmartTag2 device, equipped with many new technologies to help find lost items easier.

Accordingly, the new Lost Mode of Galaxy SmartTag2 allows users to send contact information via text message. Anyone who finds an item with a SmartTag2 can then use their phone to scan the tag and view the owner’s messages and contact information. This means that when the Galaxy SmartTag2 is attached to the pet’s collar, the owner’s phone number is always with the pet wherever they go. Galaxy SmartTag2 now offers an improved Compass View feature to enhance user experience with arrows that display the direction and distance of the Galaxy SmartTag2 to the user.

Apps now also offer full-screen map views and intuitive interfaces, providing a smoother user experience.

The durability of Galaxy SmartTag2 is also improved with water and dust resistance meeting IP67 standards. This allows users to track items in harsher environments, such as when traveling outdoors. Pet owners don’t have to worry about daily wear and tear on equipment.

Galaxy SmartTag2 also works seamlessly with SmartThings Station, when integrated with SmartThings Find – which acts as a home device scanner – allowing users to track valuable items with SmartTags attached. SmartThings Station notifies users about the location of tagged items – from personal items like TV remote controls, wallets, and keys, to registered devices like smartphones, tablets, watches, and headphones.

Finally, when switching to another Galaxy smartphone, SmartTag2 will automatically sync with the phone through your Samsung account
