Samsung may be forced to delay One UI 7

Samsung’s beta testing for One UI 7 has faced an unexpected delay due to the slow rollout of One UI 6.1.1. The update cycles are sequential, and the implementation of each brand’s previous update version affects the timeline for the new update. When an intermediate version encounters issues, it hampers the progress of subsequent updates. As a result, One UI 7 has been significantly delayed, contrary to Samsung’s initial plans to deploy the beta version by the end of July.

Reports from reliable sources, such as Ice Universe and specialist Chun Bhai, have confirmed the unexpected delay. The slow implementation of One UI 6.1.1 is the main reason behind this setback, especially for the latest Galaxy S models and older devices. While the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 have received the update, the Galaxy S24 is still running on One UI 6.1 since its release earlier this year. Consequently, Samsung has temporarily halted the beta launch of One UI 7.

As of now, Samsung has not officially announced a confirmed launch date for One UI 7, and the beta version is expected to become available towards the end of August. The Galaxy S24 is anticipated to be among the first devices to receive the beta installation.
