Take-Two opens up about the future of GTA 6 on PC

Rockstar Games stated that all information about GTA 6 will be revealed in due time. According to VGC, the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) was released in December 2023, confirming the expected release date on consoles such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2025. However, PC fans are still awaiting information about the PC version of the game.

In a recent interview at the TD Cowen conference, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick hinted at hidden information about the future of GTA 6 on PC. Zelnick stated, “Lack of announcement does not mean there is no plan. Rockstar has always had a unique approach to platforms, and they will make announcements at the right time. We believe the best strategy is to reach consumers wherever they are, on any meaningful platform, over time.”

These statements have raised hope within the PC gaming community, especially given Rockstar’s track record of releasing major games on consoles first and later on PC. However, fans will need to patiently wait for an official announcement from Rockstar. Meanwhile, Take-Two has updated its financial forecast, narrowing GTA 6’s release window from 2025 to a more predictable milestone of next fall. Additionally, it was announced that GTA 5 has achieved impressive sales of 200 million copies since its launch in 2013.
