Telegram has just released a new update that adds exciting features such as power saving mode, optimization of low-end Android devices, multiple playback speed options, and other improvements.
According to PhoneArena, in the announcement posted on the company blog, Telegram has introduced a new power-saving mode that not only helps users save battery but also reduces data usage. This is especially useful when displaying app animations and effects. Users now have the option to turn off these effects to extend battery life and improve performance on older devices.
Users can configure the power saving mode so that it turns on automatically when the battery reaches a certain percentage. This mode comes with individual toggles that enable specific effects to be turned off. This mode is available on both iOS and Android, with an additional feature on iOS that limits background updates. Users can enable and customize Power Saving Mode through the Settings > Power Saver menu.
For Android, the default settings are optimized to ensure that every user has the best possible experience. These settings have been tested on over 200 different Android devices to ensure the app works best on each device.
In addition to the power-saving options, Telegram also introduces more granular playback speed options, such as being able to hold the 2x button to choose a speed from 0.2x to 2.5x. Read confirmations for groups with less than 100 participants will now show through a pop-up as each person reads the message.
Other features introduced by this update include sending an invite link as a message in case the person you invite is restricting who can add them to the group, disabling automatic reordering of sticker packs, b New interactive emojis and reactions as well as animated emojis for advanced users.
