The announcements expected during the keynote on November 10

Apple will hold its third back-to-school keynote on November 10. A conference that should focus on the brand’s new computers.

A few days ago, the Cupertino company announced that it will hold a new keynote in November. This would be Apple’s third conference in less than three months. The American company indeed held a back-to-school keynote in September – centered on the Apple Watch – and a second in October, to present the iPhone 12. This third conference more or less unexpected – the rumor was indeed running for some time – should obviously allow Apple to make a lot of announcements. Announcements that should primarily concern new Macs equipped with Apple Silicon chip.

Apple Silicon, star of the event

Last June, at WWDC, Apple introduced its new in-house processor, Apple Silicon, for its computers. Since then, we have had no news. However, the American firm had promised to unveil its first Mac equipped with an Apple Silicon chip before the end of the year. The November 10 conference therefore appears to be the ideal time to present it.

Rumor has it that Apple is not presenting just one Mac with an in-house processor, but several models. There is indeed talk of an upgrade of three models; the MacBook Air, the 13 ”MacBook Pro, and the 16” MacBook Pro.

Apple had indicated that the transition from Intel Macs to Apple Silicon Macs would take at least two years, so we will have to wait before seeing the appearance of the first Mac or iMac with an Apple Silicon chip.

Adopting a homemade chip will be a big change. On the one hand, this will allow Apple to no longer be dependent on Intel for its computers, on the other hand, Macs will take advantage of this processor to ensure better performance. They will also have better autonomy and enhanced security.

The macOS 11 update

What could be better than a conference dedicated to Macs to launch the new major update of the operating system dedicated to them? Apple should indeed take advantage of its keynote titled “One More Thing” to deploy the final version of macOS Big Sur.

Also presented last June, the update has been overdue since.

 One more thing

The title of the call suggests that Apple may make an announcement unrelated to the main topic of the keynote. Assuming that the latter focuses on Macs equipped with an Apple Silicon chip, there are many potential additional announcements from Apple. Rumor has it that the American firm is working on many products in secret, but the product that could come to conclude the conference on November 10 could be AirTag.

It is a small object that sticks or attaches to another and can be tracked via your smartphone or a website. This tracker has been around Apple’s pipes for a long time now and there are many clues about it that are regularly seen. The American firm could have chosen its next conference to unveil it.
