The iPhone 16 Pro series can have fast charging up to 40W

There have been numerous rumors circulating about the potential features of the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models. According to information leaked by WCCF Tech, Apple might introduce 40W fast charging capabilities for these high-end models, a substantial upgrade from the current 27W fast charging for the iPhone 15 series. This enhancement is expected to significantly reduce the time required to fully charge the battery of the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max.

In addition to the fast charging upgrade, it is also speculated that both models will have larger capacity batteries compared to their predecessors. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, in particular, may feature a battery with higher energy density, providing extended usage time.

The trade-off for increased battery capacity is typically longer charging times without fast charging technology. As a result, it seems plausible for Apple to introduce the 40W fast charging feature for the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max.

It remains uncertain whether Apple will utilize technology similar to OnePlus’ ‘Glacier Technology’ to enhance battery energy density without increasing the thickness of the device. Regardless, this leaked information has generated excitement among fans who are eagerly anticipating the release of the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max later this year.
