The new iPad is gradually eliminating the physical SIM

Apple has recently launched its new iPad Air and iPad Pro models, both of which come equipped with an M4 chip and OLED screen. However, what sets these models apart is the fact that they no longer feature a physical SIM card tray. This significant move towards a future with only eSIM has been made by Apple, as they aim to provide their users with a more advanced and streamlined mobile experience.

The removal of the physical SIM slot on the mobile versions of these newly launched products shows a trend towards the use of eSIM. Apple has already removed the SIM slot from the iPhone 14, which is only sold in the US, while versions sold in other countries still have a physical SIM tray. However, all the products in the new iPad Air and iPad Pro lines have had their SIM slots removed.

The popularity of eSIM has been steadily growing over the past few years, with most flagship smartphones supporting this technology. However, Apple is leading the way by making eSIM the only option for its latest iPad models. This move is in line with Apple’s reputation for innovation and its commitment to providing its users with the latest and best technology available.
