After many rumors, the white Xbox Elite Series 2 controller has been officially confirmed and will cost 50 USD cheaper than the black version.

According to VCG , Microsoft has officially announced the long-rumored white version of the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller and said it would be cheaper than the black version.

The new controller is being sold under the full name ‘Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core’, which is similar to the black Xbox Elite Series 2 controller but will come with fewer accessories. Therefore, when officially launched on the market, the white version will cost 129.99 USD, 50 USD cheaper than the black version.

Players can purchase a separate Complete Component Pack for $59.99 if they want other accessories like a carrying case and charging dock. By default, the white Core version will come with a USB-C cable and adjustment tool for the joystick.

Reports of a white Xbox Elite Series 2 controller have been shared over the past few months. A photo of the device with its carrying case was shared in March, followed by a teaser video in July.

Last month, Amazon Mexico also briefly announced a white Xbox Elite Series 2 with a release date of September 21, which entirely coincides with Microsoft’s official information.

Microsoft has also confirmed that the Elite Series 2 will be added to the Xbox Design Lab, allowing players to customize the Elite’s exterior to their preferences.
