Amazon wants you to play more games on their cloud service with the addition of a ‘Play on Luna’ button.

According to Engadget, Amazon has finally delivered its 2020 promise to let Twitch viewers quickly play games on Luna.

According to a report from 9to5Google, Twitch has added a ‘Play on Luna’ button that allows you to join games on Amazon’s cloud gaming service. If you’re a Luna subscriber in the service’s early access program and have linked your Twitch account, you’ll see a new button to start playing the titles available through Amazon’s platform.

Currently, this button only appears on the game’s master page, not on Twitch channels. So fans can’t play the game quickly while watching their favorite streamers, this could be changed in the future.

The addition probably won’t spur much interest in Luna. However, it does bring Luna one step closer to Amazon’s original vision of seamless integration with Twitch. Furthermore, it gives Amazon a slight edge over Stadia. Google has yet to fully connect its own game streaming service to YouTube, and will only enable Crowd Play (joining games online from YouTube video streams) in 2021.
