Ubisoft wants to strengthen the Assassin’s Creed development team

As many as six new games in the Assassin’s Creed series are in development, and Ubisoft is expected to increase its workforce by 40% to serve the franchise.

According to VGC , Ubisoft said it is planning to significantly increase the number of developers working on the Assassin’s Creed franchise over the next few years.

Specifically, the company’s CEO Yves Guillemot said: “As part of our gradual re-allocation of resources, the company now plans to increase the number of talented employees working for the brand by 40%. Assassin’s Creed franchise in the years to come”

During the revenue meeting, chief financial officer Frédérick Duguet said there are about 2,000 developers currently working on Assassin’s Creed , which is part of Ubisoft’s total workforce of about 20,000 people. This number is expected to grow to around 2,800 in the coming years, this increased workforce distributed from the development departments of other game franchises.

The next installment in the series will be Assassin’s Creed Mirage , scheduled to be released during Ubisoft’s current financial year through March 2024.
