Video games are coming to the LinkedIn platform.

Microsoft’s social network, LinkedIn, boasts over 1 billion users and is set to expand its reach further by integrating video games into the platform. The games are expected to keep users engaged for extended periods, and the initial rollout will consist of three puzzle games: Queens, Inference, and Crossclimb. While a LinkedIn representative confirmed the development of game integrations, there is no official launch date yet.

The representative stated that the games are being tested for users to entertain themselves, improve relationships, and create new networking opportunities. Puzzle games are some of the most popular apps on mobile and PC, and the Wordle project is a testament to their popularity. The New York Times bought Wordle in 2022 and still has millions of players. With this in mind, it’s no surprise that LinkedIn developers want to integrate new games into their platform to make it more engaging.
