VMware announces remote cloud management solution

VMware today launched VMware Edge, a portfolio of products that allows organizations to better operate, manage, and secure edge applications across multiple clouds.

VMware Edge is a collection of VMware products that enable organizations to better operate, manage, and secure edge-native applications throughout multiple clouds in near- and far-off locations.

VMware Edge solutions are specifically designed for edge-native applications, assembly their unique performance and latency requirements.

Outstanding among them is the VMware Edge Compute Stack, which is introduced at the VMworld 2021 event, purpose-built as a Stack-based mostly on the integration of virtual machines and containers, permitting organizations to modernize and secure edge-native applications far from the edge.

Dave McCarthy, Vice President of IDC Research, Edge Infrastructure, and Cloud Services said: “Many technologies are revolutionary – like 5G, SASE and open RAN and others. – is converging at the edge network. Now is the time for organizations to set up a digital foundation for their edge infrastructure.”
