WhatsApp offers a new feature

Now it will be even easier to invite contacts for a video call.

WhatsApp is more than ever seeking to establish itself as an alternative to Zoom and Teams in the professional environment. The messaging app recently started testing video calls to 32 speakers with a panel of testers. The feature should be rolling out to all users soon.

Today, however, Meta is announcing the deployment of another feature, with the possibility of sending “call links” to its contacts, invitation links to participate in a call, which allows several contacts to be invited by the message to a call when it has already been launched.

Users can click on the ‘Call links’ option in the Calls tab and create a link for an audio or video call and easily share it with family and friends,” Meta said.

The feature will roll out with the next app update. To use it, both parties will need to have the update installed. Meta announces a deployment during the week for all, on Android and iOS.
