WhatsApp rolls out a new update

WhatsApp has just rolled out an update regarding changes to the company’s terms of service (ToS), where users can opt out of ToS at the request of the European Union (EU).

According to PhoneArena, with the new policy, WhatsApp developers will allow users to opt out of ToS changes easily. However, this is not necessarily good news for users as WhatsApp has confirmed that users are allowed to do so, but “certain features will be disabled until further notice”.

In this update, although WhatsApp has not yet given a response, it is likely that the company will continue this plan. Basically, if users do not accept ToS, certain features on WhatsApp will not be able to function properly.

Talking about the data policy, after receiving objections in 2021, WhatsApp confirmed that no data will be shared with Meta or Facebook. The company also points out that conversations are encrypted in any way, so they can’t see the data. Now, the company is aggressively marketing its services through an emphasis on security and encryption.
