WhatsApp will stop working on several iPhones and iPads

On October 24, Meta will make its WhatsApp messaging application unusable on several older iPhone and iPad models.

The American giant justifies its decision by the fact that its application is evolving and must integrate new features that require software libraries, which are not available on previous versions of iOS.

All devices running iOS 10 and iOS 11 are affected.

Concretely, the messaging service will therefore cease to work on the iPhone 4s, 5, 5c, but also the iPad 2, 3, 4, mini and the fifth generation iPod Touch.

All devices that were sold at the time with iOS 10 and 11 but which have benefited from an update will be able to continue to offer WhatsApp services.

If your smartphone or tablet is on the list of affected terminals, you have two options: invest in a new terminal or use GB WhatsApp, an unofficial version of the software that will continue to support older versions of iOS .
