It has been reported that PC Manager, a tool that suggests restoring Bing as the default search engine in Edge as a system repair recommendation, could potentially become the default app in Windows 11
According to Neowin, there are indications that Windows 11 might be introducing a new default app in the future. PC Manager, an optimization application similar to CCleaner, is currently being tested as the default application in Windows 11 in China as part of the 24H2 update.
However, it is important to note that this is still in the testing phase and may not be implemented in other markets. If PC Manager does become the default app, Microsoft may make changes to the application, potentially addressing concerns about suggesting Bing as the default search engine
While users can currently download and install PC Manager on Windows 10 and Windows 11, it’s worth considering that reviews have highlighted some issues with the implementation of system optimization measures.
