Xiaomi launches low-cost phone, Redmi Note 12 Explorer

One of Xiaomi’s recently launched smartphones – the Redmi Note 12 Explorer, promises to receive a lot of attention from consumers.

According to Blazetrends, the most advanced model of the recent Redmi Note 12 series can fully charge a 4,300 mAh battery in less than 10 minutes. Specifically, the device can charge from 0% to 100% in just 9 minutes, thanks to this phone’s maximum charging capacity of 210W. Just 5 minutes of connecting to the power network are enough to charge 66% of the battery of this mobile phone.

This is a technology owned by Xiaomi and not a standard set by the Power Delivery corporation, such as USB-PD, the 50V, and 5A charging standard that allows charging the battery with a capacity of up to 240W. To achieve its wattage, Xiaomi chose to keep the relatively low voltage 20V for three channels, with 3.5A each. As a result, the product distributes 210W in three channels, equating to approximately 70W of power per channel – still within the 100W maximum ceiling.

To ensure the safety of users, Xiaomi has applied GaN technology to help generate very little heat during charging and prevent fire and explosion. The Redmi Note 12 Explorer charger has dimensions of 67.3 x 64.3 x 30 mm and will provide a maximum power of 210W even in countries with 110V-based power grids.

In addition to the ability to charge up to 210W, Redmi Note 12 Explorer also stands out with a 200 MP resolution image sensor from Samsung. This same component is also present in the Xiaomi 12T Pro smartphone. Significantly more expensive

Besides, Redmi Note 12 Explorer also comes with a screen with a diagonal of 6.67 inches, OLED technology with a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, as well as Full HD + resolution. There is also an 8 MP secondary camera and a 2 MP camera (macro lens).

The new Redmi Note 12 Explorer will go on sale in China on October 31 for the equivalent of $330. It is not yet clear whether the product will be sold in the global market.
