This decision means that the devices have reached the end of their support life cycle and will no longer receive any further updates.
Previously, these devices were no longer receiving software updates, but with the new announcement, they will also no longer receive security updates. This change applies to the global versions of the devices. Although many users were hoping for the devices to be updated to the new HyperOS, this is no longer a possibility.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro was a highly regarded mid-range smartphone when it was launched in 2021. It boasts an AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 732G chip, stereo speakers, and a 5,020 mAh battery that supports 33W charging. Upon its release, the device was equipped with the MIUI 11 platform, and the last version of Android it received was Android 13 with the MIUI 14 user interface.
However, with the end of support, users should consider upgrading their devices if they are concerned about receiving further security updates. While users can continue to use their phones, they may face potential vulnerabilities without any brand support.
