Improving the experience of the GeForce Now service on the Steam Deck is a big concern of Nvidia and Valve.
According to PC Gamer, Nvidia and Valve are both expressing interest in improving the GeForce Now experience on the Steam Deck.
Nvidia’s game service now works on the Steam Deck, but it has to be used through the browser, so there are some control issues. The top solution to this problem is a native GeForce Now app on Steam.
Nvidia’s GeForce Now product manager Andrew Fear confirmed that both the company and Steam are interested in improving and streamlining the GeForce Now experience on the Steam Deck: “There are currently no native apps on Steam. The deck should be forced to use the Chromium browser for GeForce Now to work. I’d say both Nvidia and Valve, I think both companies are interested in improving GeForce Now on the Steam Deck. But we don’t have any announcements about future native app launches yet.”
GeForce Now’s experience on the Steam Deck has improved a lot since it was first released, but there are still a lot of issues that affect the gaming experience when having to do everything through the browser.
Nvidia just announced a major upgrade to the top tier of its GeForce Now service. Accordingly, the new Ultimate membership will provide players with a powerful cloud gaming configuration with the RTX 4080, for $ 20 / month. This will bring 240Hz gaming mode, ultrawide, and 4K support at 120 FPS.
