The beta update for PS5 brings a bunch of useful features to the console.
According to Engadget, after some Discord features were integrated into PlayStation 5 (PS5) in early 2022, now voice chat (voice chat) has finally appeared in the latest beta update of the console. game.
Test users in the US, Canada, and Japan will be able to participate in Discord voice calls on PS5. However, it will be a bit inconvenient, because every time you want to use Discord voice chat on PS5, users will need to forward calls from the mobile app.
Microsoft also introduced this feature on Xbox a few months ago, but the company already allows users to join Discord chats directly from the Xbox. So hopefully Sony will do the same for the PS5 in the future.
There are also a number of the new social interaction features that come with the update like new ways to share screens, group chats, and see what games your friends are playing. Sony also added support for dynamic refresh rates for gaming at 1440p, allowing HDMI 2.1 displays to deliver smoother performance at this resolution and less screen tearing.
Players will also find new tools for accessing PS4 saved data on PS5, along with the ability to move games from one PS5 to another using a Wi-Fi or ethernet connection.
The new beta will be available for now to test users, with Sony rolling it out to other users over the next few months.
