Many are anticipating that Windows 12 will launch this year and surpass its predecessor by leaps and bounds; however, if the most recent rumors are true, this seems unlikely to happen.
Rumors indicate that Windows 12 appears to be a significant advancement over current generations of operating systems, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and even supporting a dedicated Copilot button, as Microsoft recently mentioned, according to WindowsLatest.
The issue is that Windows 12 might not come out in 2024, if at all. According to Microsoft’s proposed schedule, the update will be available on the day that Windows 12 is expected to launch, based on the most recent information. Officially known as Windows 11 24H2, or Windows 11 2024 Update.
This is further supported by the mention of the update’s name, which HP released in conjunction with the recent introduction of the Specter product line. It is evident from the gathered documents that Windows 11 will receive a significant update to be compatible with Copilot 2.0 and Wi-Fi 7. HP claims that when Windows 11 2024 is combined with an Intel Core or Core Ultra CPU and a Wi-Fi 7 compatible router, the full potential of Wi-Fi 7 will be unlocked. Among them is Windows 11 2024, sometimes referred to as Windows 24H2.
They can’t be regarded as official announcements, even though everything is still just conjecture, especially since they are derived from documents provided by a computer manufacturing partner rather than Microsoft. Users will have to wait until the end of the year to find out whether there will be a generational leap as significant as the one that occurred between Windows 11 and Windows 10 to obtain the most accurate response.
